A word from the webmaster: Mixie Lydian currently lives quite near Mount St. Helens. The vapors emanating from the crater have been nothing but healthful, she asserts, and conducive to much creative musing. It is mere coincidence that her first essay on a Sacred Harp topic was composed within a few years of her establishing residence and after the volcano blew its top in 1980. These essays have been circulating quietly in the western United States for several years, and it is quite a feather in our caps to have gained permission to include them on our web page. The source of the author's title is unknown. |
